Configuration improvements
The following improvements have been made to the configuration of Meridian:
- A Sort Priority option has been added to custom commands to specify the order of custom commands in the shortcut menu of a document.
- Support for Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access files on 64-bit computers is now available. It is now possible to map a single document property to multiple project folder type properties. The value of the document property will depend on the document's parent folder.
- An option has been added to the Database Import Wizard to include a time stamp in the import log.
- When a table is created or imported, all of its privileges are now added to all roles.
- Improvements have been made for importing documents that were originally exported using the Vault Archive Wizard. The system looks for a mapping file and if found will automatically create the appropriate field mappings for the import.
- It is now possible to add keywords to document types that allow you to check for classes of document types using VBScript instead of just by their names.
- A registry key has been added to control how embedded images are handled in Lotus Notes emails.
- The VBScript method Vault.ExecSQL can use the connection string associated with a external table query that is defined in the vault by prefixing the query name with "$$".
The user name and password entered in the Data Link Properties dialog are not shown in the Connection string text box for increased security.
- Table values included in a configuration file (MET) were not imported by the 64-bit version of the Meridian Configurator.
- A branch Column Collections has been added to the Environment branch in the Meridian Configurator and the column configuration in the Vault Settings branch have been moved to the new branch. This provides a centralized area for configuring the columns for views.
- The conditions of custom properties have been expanded to include a setting for batch operations. With the setting Apply to entire batch, properties can be filled in for all documents in the batch based on an expression or always.
- A second instance of Meridian Enterprise Configurator can be opened in read-only mode to view the vault configuration while changes are made in a different instance.
- When using the Migrate method in the AfterNewDocument event, the Document Import Tool would fail to import hybrid documents.
