Packages of documents can now be imported into a vault by Meridian Explorer through the Meridian Enterprise Server. The packages have a similar structure to those that can be exported by Meridian Explorer. Sets of import rules and property mappings called import profiles can be defined in the Meridian Enterprise Server Administration Console. The metadata for each package is supplied in a MS Excel workbook. Before import, the packages are scanned by the server for linked title block properties and references that can also be imported into the vault. Import package actions are controlled by configurable permissions. The destination vault VBScript events are invoked for imported documents. |
