The Edit menu contains commands for working with existing documents within one of the Navigation views.
The following table briefly describes each command on the Edit menu. Refer to topics elsewhere in this guide for details.

Copy |
Makes a copy of the document, creating a new document. Wizard pages are shown if available. For more information, see Copying a document. |
Derive |
Creates a derivative of a document. Wizard pages are shown if available. For more information, see Understanding the copy commands and Deriving a document. |
Replace |
Creates a replacement of the document. The original document is retired.For more information, see Understanding the copy commands and Replacing a document. |
Rename |
Renames the document. You are presented with a dialog to type the new name. For more information, see Replacing a document. |
Delete |
Deletes the document from the vault. For more information, see Deleting and undeleting documents and folders. |
