Creating the download task

After you have created the file list as described in Creating a source list, you can create the Autodesk Inventor Task Scheduler tasks to perform the migration. You must create three tasks:

  1. Download task
  2. Migration task
  3. Upload task

Begin by creating the download task. The download task locks the files in Meridian and downloads the files to your Local Workspace.

To create the download task:

  1. In the Autodesk Inventor Task Scheduler, point to Create Task and click Custom Task. The Custom Task dialog box appears.
  2. Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.

Select ICtools

Parameters

Type parameters using the following syntax:

/cmd Dn /list <TextFilePath> /log <LogFilePath>

<TextFilePath> should be the path to the file list that you created in Creating a source list. <LogFilePath> is the path to a log file that you want to contain the results of the migration. An example of these parameters would look like:

/cmd Dn /list “C:\Temp\Inventor List.txt” /log C:\Temp
  1. Schedule the task to occur when no other tasks are running and before the migration and upload tasks that you will create in the following topics.
  2. Click OK.
  3. Proceed by creating the migration task as described in Creating the migration task.
