Understanding Work Isolation Mode

The Work Isolation Mode of a vault or work area determines whether or not changes can be made to a document or its properties, the workflow it must undergo to be changed, and who can see documents undergoing change. These characteristics are very important for the Meridian Enterprise developer to understand, as they may have significant consequences on customization.

Work Isolation Mode is set in the Meridian Enterprise Configurator, on the Main area of the vault, and on the work area templates from which work areas are created. The Work Isolation Mode can be different for the Main area and work areas. Work Isolation Mode can be enabled (set to On) or disabled (set to Off).
