Viewing synchronization status
The synchronization status of the repository depends on two factors:
- The Publisher job scheduled task (if configured). The status of the task indicates when the task was last run and its result. It does not indicate the status of the Publisher import and export processes that are started by the task.
- The status of the Publisher export and import processes. The status of the processes indicates whether the Publisher was able to connect successfully to the source vault and destination database.
The status of each factor is viewed separately.
To view the status of the Publisher synchronization job scheduled task:
- In Windows Task Scheduler, select Task Scheduler Library in the left pane. The status of all scheduled tasks appears in the right pane.
- View the Status, Last Run Time, and Last Run Result properties of the Publisher update task. By default, the task is named Update Data Library.
- If the task failed, review the Security options settings on the General page of the task's properties.
To view the status of the Publisher processes:
-
In Meridian Configurator, in the System group, click TASK MONITOR. The Tasks page appears and lists the status of the active and inactive Publisher jobs.
To filter the list by task status:
- Click one of the statuses in the menu. Only the tasks with the selected status are listed.
To filter the list by job code:
- Type at least the beginning of the job code in Job code and then click the arrow icon
. Only the tasks with names that begin with the text that you typed are listed.
To filter the list by user name:
- Type at least the beginning of the name of the user that submitted the job in User and then click the arrow icon
. Only the tasks that were submitted by users whose names begin with the text that you typed are listed.
To remove a filter:
- Remove the text that you typed and click the arrow icon
. The full list of jobs is shown.
- To view additional details about a synchronization job:
- Select the task that you want to view more details about and then click Analyze. The Dashboard page for the job appears.
- To view information about each document that produced errors, click DIAGNOSTICS.
If a synchronization job fails, after you correct the problem you can retry the job as described in Repeating a synchronization job.
