Installing on 64-bit computers

All versions of Meridian Enterprise prior to 2013 install only the 32-bit BlueCielo IFilter. All versions after 2013 install the 64-bit BlueCielo IFilter on 64-bit computers. To support the older versions, the 32-bit BlueCielo IFilter can be installed manually on 64-bit computers and will run as a 32-bit process.

To install the 32-bit BlueCielo IFilter on a 64-bit computer:

  1. Select the Windows Search integration component during server installation as described in Installing the server components.
  2. Ensure that the Indexing Service or Windows Search is not running on the computer during IFilter installation.
  3. Ensure that the AutoVue folder is included in the PATH environment variable. By default, it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Cyco Shared\AutoVue.
  4. In the same AutoVue folder, register av_IFilter.dll and any additional file types as described in Registering file types.
