Versioned

Versioned type properties are similar to Normal properties except that their value can be changed on a released revision of the object. This is the most suitable effectivity type for most custom properties.

In the database, a copy of the property is stored each time the value is changed. In history mode a Versioned type property will return the value it had at the given moment in time.

When a document is assigned to a work area, changes to a Versioned type property are isolated within the work area. The changed value will only be visible outside the work area after the document is released.
