Deploying an interface extension

After an interface extension has been thoroughly tested, it can be deployed for production use. This involves two steps: packaging the extension and registering the extension.

Packaging is the process of collecting all of the files that the Meridian Enterprise client applications might need to execute the interface extension into a package that can be copied to the Meridian Enterprise server, where they can be downloaded by the Meridian Enterprise clients on demand.

Registering the interface extension is the process of associating the extension with a vault and the objects that it extends so that when those objects are accessed by the Meridian Enterprise client applications, the interface extension will be executed.
