A task extension is an ActiveX component that implements the IAMTask interface. The recommended method of implementing a task extension is to create a new Visual Basic project using the Meridian Enterprise Task Project template. This template provides a default implementation of the IAMTask interface. You can extend it to implement the functionality required by your tasks.
