The Meridian Connection API should be installed on every client computer where it will be used. To ease distribution, the Meridian Connection API can be registered as a vault extension. The Meridian Connection API has no extension functionality itself, but will automatically apply itself to the Folder object, resulting in automatic distribution. It is not necessary to register the Meridian Connection API as a vault extension if it will be distributed manually.
