Installing additional software required by Kronodoc

Additional software required by Kronodoc is packaged in the kronodoc-rhel5-infra-40 RPM package. Installation of the package must be done as the root user with e.g.

rpm –iv –-nodeps “path to RPM package”
        

Installation of the RPM package performs the following tasks

• Creates the ‘kronodoc’ user (and group) if not already available
• Creates the /opt/Kronodoc directory if not already available
• Installs the perl interpreter under /opt/kronodoc/perl/
• Installs the Java runtime environment under /opt/kronodoc/java/
• Installs the Apache web server under /opt/kronodoc/apache/
• Installs the Oracle 10g (10.2.0.2) instant client under /opt/kronodoc/oracle10g/instantclient_10_2
• Installs testKrono40ServerSetup script under /opt/kronodoc/bin
