Understanding catch rules

A catch rule defines which emails are stored in a folder and the default properties for the documents that are generated from the email. Catch rules consist of catch rule properties, catch conditions (filters), and default document properties.

If several catch rules are active simultaneously that have catch conditions in common (for example, the email address of the sender), Kronomail stores as many documents as there are equivalent matching rules.

If the catch rules are not equivalent, the catch rule with the greater conditions prevails, as shown in the following examples:
