Specifying search result options

When an advanced search is executed, the document list properties will be shown by default in the resulting Search tab together with the properties that were specified for the search. You can add more columns to the search results in order to view more information about all of the documents found.

To specify search result options:

  1. Begin by displaying the Advanced tab in the Document Search pane and selecting a vault and optional folder to search in, as described in Executing an advanced search.
  2. Click the Result Options tab. The Result Options tab appears, similar to the following figure.

  1. Select a search location from Search in if you haven’t done so already.
  2. Specify the maximum number of documents to display in the search results in Maximum returned.
  3. Select additional columns to display in the search results from the Columns list.

Tip    To find properties more easily, click a column heading to set the property sort order to that column. Click the column heading again to reverse the sort order.

  1. If you like, you can edit the text for each column heading in Visible Name.
