Assigning access levels to documents
You can assign access levels to documents or folders for which you have the Owner access level.
To assign access levels:
- Select one or more documents or a folder for which you want to assign the same access levels.
- Right-click and click Properties on the shortcut menu. The Properties dialog appears.
- Click the Security tab to display the current access level assignments similar to the following figure.
- Enable the Users option to assign an access level to an individual user or enable the Groups option to assign an access level to a group.
- Choose a name from the Name list.
- Choose an access level from the Access Level list.
- Click the Add button
to assign the selected access level to the selected user or group.
- Repeat steps 4 through 7 to add more users or groups.
- Select an access level assignment and click the Delete button
to remove the assignment.
- Click OK when finished. The access levels are assigned.
