Adding a new revision

It is possible to add a new revision to a document without manually checking the document out and back in again. This can be useful if you receive a new revision of a document from a contractor or vendor, for example.

To add a new revision:

  1. Right-click the document in ImandrA for which you want to add a new revision and select Add New Version. An Open dialog appears with which you can select a file outside of the vault to become the new revision.
  2. Select a file and click Open.
  3. Depending on the configuration of the vault, you may be prompted to remove the selected file. Click Yes to delete the file. Click No to retain the file.
  4. The process continues just as if you had checked it out manually as described in Checking in documents.
