Understanding document validation

Transmittal Manager evaluates all documents that are added to a transmittal to ensure that they are valid for the operation. If this validation fails, a dialog will appear with a description of the reasons that the documents failed validation.

Valid documents are:

• From the same library. The library must be supported by the Transmittal Manager.
• From the same project. The project must be supported by the Transmittal Manager.
• Assigned document classes that are supported by the Transmittal Manager.
• Different from one another. Different revisions of the same document cannot be included in the same transmittal.
• Not already listed in the transmittal, if one is selected.
• Released, if required for the specified reason for the transmittal.
