Understanding contact validation

Transmittal Manager evaluates all contacts that are associated with a transmittal to ensure that they are valid for the operation. If this validation fails, a dialog will appear with a description of the reasons that the contacts failed validation and you are given an opportunity to correct the problems.

Valid contacts are:

• Fully specified by a name, company name, address, contact type, and contact reason.
• Not specified more than once.
• Not the same as the transmittal recipient. That is, they do not have the same name, company name, and address.
