Appendix A: Installing FileNet IDM Desktop for ImandrA

This appendix describes how to install FileNet IDM Desktop for ImandrA use. ImandrA supports various versions of IDM Desktop. The differences between the installation processes of the different versions are minor, so the procedure described in this appendix can be used for all versions.

Note    IDM Desktop 4.1 and 4.2 are not full versions of IDM Desktop, and require IDM Desktop 4.0 to be installed on the computer first. The installation processes of IDM Desktop 4.1 and 4.2 are the same as the installation process of a hot fix pack.

To install IDM Desktop for ImandrA use:

1. Launch the IDM Desktop setup program. The Welcome page appears.
2. Click Next. The Software License Agreement page appears.
3. Click Yes. The Choose Destination Location page appears.
4. Accept the default destination folder or click Browse and select a different folder, then click Next. The Install Components page appears.
5. Select only the Content Services component and then click Next. The Please confirm your settings page appears.
6. Click Next. The installation begins. When the installation is finished, the Setup Complete page appears.
7. Select Yes, I want to restart my computer now and click Finish. The computer restarts and the installation completes.
