Creating revision block definitions

A revision block definition specifies the AutoCAD blocks to insert for the first and subsequent revision blocks of a drawing as described in Understanding revision blocks. The insertion points of these blocks are based upon the insertion point of the title block definition described in Creating a title block definition. When the title block is found in the drawing, the first revision block is inserted in the drawing. The insert position of the first revision block is the insertion point of the title block offset by the 0, 1, and 2 values of the PositionVector option of the title block. Subsequent revision blocks are inserted in a similar way.

Note    In the ImandrA 3.x, only KnownBlock functionality is supported. In the 2.x version, of the revision list block uses attribute linking instead of KnownBlocks.

To create a revision block definition:

  1. In the Revision List Designer, open the revision list definition file (*.rld) for which you want to create revision block definitions or create a new file.
  2. Select the title block definition in the left pane. For information on creating a title block definition, see Creating a title block definition.
  3. Click on the Add a revision block definition tool button . A new revision block definition is as a sub-branch in the left pane and its properties appear in the right pane. This block will be used for the header and first row of the revision list in the drawing.
