Creating folder permissions

Folder permissions allow you to associate a specific library access level with a calculated user or group of users.

To create folder permissions:

1. In the Manage Structure Designer, on the Folders page, select the folder definition for which you want to create folder permissions and click the Edit Properties tool button if it is not already activated. To create a new folder definition, see Creating a folder definition.
2. For the Permissions option, click the button to display the Collection Editor to define the folder permissions. The Collection Editor opens, listing the existing folder permissions, if any.
3. Click Add to create a new permission. A new permission is added to the Members list.
4. Select the new permission. Its properties appear in the Properties list.
5. Enter or select options using the descriptions in the following table.

6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 for each permission that you want to create for the selected folder definition.
7. To delete an existing permission, select the permission in the Members list and click the Remove button.
8. Click OK to close the Collection Editor.
9. Click the Save tool button to save your changes.
