Configuring the library scheduled import task

This scheduled import task executes the SharePoint library import processor to import received briefcases into the local SharePoint library. It should be scheduled frequently to process user-initiated transfers like requests to claim ownership. We recommend a schedule interval between 10 minutes and 1 hour. The overhead for running the task when no work needs to be done is small: the import processor only needs to check that the folder specified by the InPath setting in the INI file is empty.

The task command line should have one argument that is the name of the INI file that contains the processing settings that you configured as described in Configuring the SharePoint processors. If the INI file is located in the same folder as the SharePoint library import processor, the path can be omitted.

Following is an example of a scheduled import task command line:

"C:\GCF\SharePoint\Processors\BC.GCFImportProc.exe" <SharePointIniFile>

Note    Installing the processors as described in Installing the SharePoint processors installs sample .cmd files for export and import with the correct .ini file names and share names that you can use to compose the command line.
