Understanding status updates

When a Meridian Enterprise user requests a document status update, the following steps are performed:

1. The GCF Collaboration Status extension gets document status from SQL Server tables and the SharePoint site using GCF Remote Access and the GCF Web Service. The extension can also run the commands Claim Ownership, Get Latest Version, and Retract from Web Portal. The commands are scheduled in a SQL Server table for further processing by the SharePoint export processor.
