What's new in Meridian Global Collaboration Framework 2012 SP2
The following features were added:
- Meridian GCF/Project Portal is now included, which allows Meridian Enterprise vault folders to be shared with Meridian Project Portal folders. For more information, see the BlueCielo Meridian GCF/Project Portal Administrator's Guide.
- Open standard briefcase file formats (.zip, .rar) are now supported by GCF/SharePoint. Besides the additional ease of use, these formats do not have the size (260 MB) and time property (only dates are transferred) limitations of the BRC format.
- Meridian Project Portal workflow states can now be mapped to Meridian Enterprise workflow states and controlled from VBScript. For more information, see the BlueCielo Meridian GCF/Project Portal Administrator's Guide.
- The system properties that are common to both Meridian Enterprise and Meridian Project Portal can now be mapped for synchronization. For more information, see the BlueCielo Meridian GCF/Project Portal Administrator's Guide.
The following features were changed:
- Beginning with Global Collaboration Framework 2013 SP1, the To-Do Person property of documents owned at remote sites showed the name of the user instead of the name of the site. This was changed to help mobile users to more easily find documents that are assigned to them. Consequently, the property AMDocumentWorkFlowPropertySet._TODOPERSON was added to the registry settings that were merged and the property was added to the mappings in AMBrc.ini. Those changes have been removed in this version.
- The Revoke command did not work properly in SP2 and has been fixed.
- When enlisting a site for a document that resides in a folder that has already been shared, the Enlist Site dialog now shows only the sites that are enlisted for the folder instead of all shares.
- If the Transfer option is enabled in the Enlist Site dialog, released documents that have not previously been collaborated on are not locked until the GCF export occurs.
- An issue has been fixed that caused too many instances of the GCF Transfer processor to be started.
- An Unknown share name error might happen while enlisting a GCF folder.
-
An Import error: Subscript out of range can occur when briefcase sequence validation is enabled.
- Miscellaneous minor issues
have been fixed.
