Retracting a document

Retracting a document from a GCF/SharePoint location allows you to remove the document from the location to which it has been enlisted.

Note    You must have the Manage Collaboration privilege to retract documents.

To retract a document:

  1. In Meridian Enterprise PowerUser, right-click the document that you want to retract from a GCF/SharePoint location and select Retract from SharePoint Site. The Retracting from SharePoint dialog box appears.
  2. Select the site from which you want to retract the document and click OK. The retraction is initiated.

If the document is owned by the GCF/SharePoint site, its ownership will first be transferred from the site and then the document will be deleted from the SharePoint site by the next GCF scheduled transfer. If the document is owned by a Meridian Enterprise vault, the document is deleted immediately.
