Merging registry settings

Note    The task described in this topic is only required by advanced installations when the Global Collaboration Framework is installed manually, for example, when repairing an existing installation or moving an existing installation to a new server computer. Otherwise, this task is performed by the GCF setup program.

For the Meridian Enterprise import processor to synchronize the workflow-related properties of documents in collaboration, Windows registry values must be imported.

To merge the registry settings:

  1. On the computer where the Meridian Enterprise import processor will run, double-click the file <Setup>\Meridian\Processors\Install files\SafeProperties\GCFSafeProperties.reg.
  2. Click Yes in the subsequent dialog that appears from the Registry Editor.

The settings can also be applied (for new Global Collaboration Framework installations only) by using the setup program located in <Setup>\Meridian\Processors.

  1. If the Meridian Enterprise processors are installed on a 64-bit computer, also merge the registry settings contained in <Setup>\Meridian\Processors\Install files\SafeProperties\GCFSafeProperties_Wow6432Node.reg.
