BlueCielo Meridian Global Collaboration Framework 2012 SP1 Administrator's Guide | BlueCielo ECM Solutions |
This chapter describes the installation of the Global Collaboration Framework and the basic configuration that is needed to test the connection to collaborating sites. For explanation of the more detailed configuration that is necessary the meet customer-specific requirements, refer to the configuration topics in this guide.
Installation and initial configuration of the Global Collaboration Framework consists of the following separate (but interrelated) tasks that should be performed at each collaborating site in the order listed:
Most of these tasks require you to copy files from the Global Collaboration Framework distribution package to various locations, possibly on several servers. In this guide, the following placeholders are used for these locations:
Placeholder | Description |
---|---|
<Setup> |
The location of the distribution package, for example, D:\ for a CD in the D: drive. For descriptions of the files in the Meridian Global Collaboration Framework distribution package, see Contents of the distribution package. |
<IIS> |
The default folder where IIS web pages are stored. By default, this is C:\Inetpub\wwwroot on the server running IIS. |
<AMM> |
The folder where Meridian Enterprise is installed. By default, this is C:\Program Files\BC-Meridian\Program. |
The folder where Meridian Enterprise Web Access is installed. By default, this is C:\Inetpub\AMM on the server running IIS. |
|
<GCF> |
The folder where the Global Collaboration Framework components are installed, for example, C:\GCF\Meridian\Processors. |
<Briefcases> |
The location where GCF-related briefcases are stored, for example D:\Meridian\GCF. |
This installation is very much a manual task, and cannot be automated efficiently by a setup program due to the number of different systems and components involved (Meridian Enterprise, Internet Information Server, and Windows).
