BlueCielo Meridian FDA Module 2012 Configuration Guide | BlueCielo ECM Solutions |
The FDA Module provides security privileges in addition to those of Meridian Enterprise. The FDA Module privileges secure the commands that are provided by the FDA Module as well as provide extra security for document metadata. You must be a member of a Meridian Enterprise security role to which these privileges have been granted and the role must be applied to the current folder before you can perform the respective action.
The FDA Module security privileges are described in the following table.
Privilege | Description |
---|---|
Display Audit Report |
Required to execute the Print Audit Report command in PowerUser. For more information, see Configuring the audit table connection. |
Execute Controlled Export |
Required to execute the Controlled Export command in PowerUser. |
Subscribe to Document |
Required to execute the Subscribe/Unsubscribe to Document command in PowerUser. |
Modify Lookup List from PowerUser |
Lookup lists are used by Meridian Enterprise to store standard values for properties. To provide an interface that audits changes to the lookup list values, the FDA Module makes a Modify Lookup Lists command available on the Tools menu in the PowerUser client. The command shows a dialog that allows system administrators to add, edit, or remove individual lookup list values without using the Meridian Enterprise Configurator. Additionally, all changes are logged in the audit trail. You may specify which users are allowed to execute the Modify Lookup Lists command by granting this privilege to Meridian Enterprise security roles. For more information on granting privileges to roles, see the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Administrator's Guide. For information about using the Modify Lookup Lists command, see the BlueCielo Meridian FDA Module User's Guide. Note The Modify Lookup Lists command cannot be used to edit tables. If table entries require modification, they must be edited elsewhere. |
Unlock User Account |
Required to execute the Unlock Users command. For more information, see the BlueCielo Meridian FDA Module User's Guide. |
Edit properties outside workflow |
Required to modify property values outside of a workflow. |
Execute Transmit to Vendor |
Required to create briefcases with the Transmit to Vendor briefcase template. |
Manage subscriptions of others |
Required to subscribe or unsubscribe to documents on behalf of other users with the Subscription Management command in PowerUser. |
FDA Update Properties |
Required to modify properties with the Update Properties command as described in the BlueCielo Meridian FDA Module User's Guide. |
The standard Meridian Enterprise privileges necessary to execute specific FDA Module commands are noted elsewhere in this guide, where applicable.
