Sending requested packages

When a Meridian 360 user that does not have the Send Packages permission requests a package of master documents from the Meridian Enterprise vault, a Meridian Explorer user that does have the permission must send the package on that user’s behalf. This gives you an opportunity to review the request and either approve it by sending the package or reject the request by not sending it. Sending a package is equivalent to you creating and exporting the package yourself.

Note    You must have the Send Packages permission to perform this task.

To send a requested package:

  1. In the view bar, click Collections. The list of active collections appears, sorted alphabetically by name. Packages that have been requested show the status Ready for Export in the STATUS column.
  2. Click the name of the package that you want to send. The contents of the package appear in the details pane.
  3. Right-click the name of the package that you want to send and then click Send package in the shortcut menu that appears. The package is exported in the background and you can continue working.

Note    If any of the documents fail to export to the package, its STATUS value changes to Failed and an icon appears next to the document icon in the file list of the collection. Hover the mouse pointer over the icon to see the corresponding error message.
