Release 2012 SP5 build 2.10.5

Build 2.10.5 replaces build 2.1.04 that was provided as Meridian Explorer 2012 SP5. New Meridian Explorer installations should not use build 2.1.04. This build is provided as a full setup package. It is also provided as separate files for customers that prefer to patch their existing Meridian Explorer 2012 SP5 (build 2.1.04) installation.

To patch a Meridian Explorer 2012 SP5 installation:

1. Back up and replace the following files in the Meridian Explorer program folder (by default, C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ExplorerClient):

   • Home.aspx
   • bin\BlueCieloECM.Explorer.dll

   • bin\BlueCieloECM.Dex.Ice.dll

   • Resources\Dutch.js

2. Add the following line to the appSettings section in web.config:

   <add key="UseViewerFromHyperlink" value=""/>

3. Also install BlueCielo Publisher 2012 SP5 2.10.5 as described in the BlueCielo Publisher 2012 SP5 b2.10.5 Release Notes.

This build improves upon BlueCielo Meridian Explorer 2012 SP5 by providing the following fixes:

• The Explorer client displayed document thumbnail images with an incorrect aspect ratio.
• Advanced search failed when using the Dutch language.

• The Update Thumbnails job ignored errors. When it failed to generate a thumbnail, it stored an empty image. A registry setting is now available to raise an error when no thumbnail is generated. This will cause the job to retry the thumbnail the next time the job runs. Add a DWORD value named IgnoreMissingThumbnails to the following registry key:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BlueCielo ECM Solutions\Application Manager\Settings\DexMeridian

  Set the value to 0 to raise an error on failure . The default is 1 (store an empty image on failure).

• Hyperlinks to documents can now open the document directly in the Explorer viewer by setting the UseViewerFromHyperlink setting described above to true.
