Redlining concepts

The redline tools enable you to electronically annotate files without changing the file itself. You can redline vector and raster files and Windows metafiles.

In addition to creating redlines, you can also:

• Edit existing redlines for a file
• View redlines created by others
• View and edit redlines for files that you receive in a briefcase

Redlines are automatically saved in a special folder. When you add a file to a briefcase, the redlines for that file are also copied to the briefcase. The person who receives the briefcase can view and edit all redline layers in the briefcase, even if the layers are not defined in the other BlueCielo system. When you extract a file from a briefcase, the redlines are also extracted.
