Using the Home page

The Home page is the first page to appear when you open . It is also the place to start when looking for items. This page lists groups of views that are available to all users. Each view can be of a different repository or the same repository.

The following figure shows the different areas of the Home page.

Hover the mouse pointer over the different areas in the image below to see the help topics available for this page. Click in an area to display the help topic for that area.

The following table describes the major features of the Home page and refers to other topics that describe the features in more detail.

Features of the Home page

Home page button

Click to return to the Home page at any time.

Views panel

Shows the available view groups.

View group

Select a view group to show its view names in the right pane for selection.

Views page

Shows the views contained in the selected view group.

View names

Click a view name to open it as described in Opening a view.

Help button

Click to show online help content.

Settings panel

Click to show the Settings page where you can set personal preferences as described in Configuring personal preferences, configure file download options as described in Configuring download options, and if you are a system administrator, launch Configurator.

8 Saved searches panel

Lists the available saved searches in the right pane for selection. Click a saved search name to open it as described in Opening a saved search. To save a search, see the searching and browsing topics elsewhere in this guide.

Note    Saved searches are private. Only your saved searches are visible to you.

9 Your personal system preferences Click to configure your personal preferences as described in Configuring personal preferences.
