Importing a configuration

Importing a configuration loads configuration information from a repository that was previously exported.

Importing a configuration is useful for several reasons:

Note    If views in the source repository were configured with preconditions, the preconditions are excluded from the import.

To import a configuration:

  1. In the Meridian Explorer Configurator, click Manage. The configuration command buttons appear in the right pane.
  2. In the General group, click Import Configuration. The Import Configuration dialog box appears.
  3. Click the Select button. The Choose File to Upload dialog box appears.
  4. Browse to and select the compressed archive file that contains the configuration that you want to import and click Open. The Layout field in the Import Configuration dialog updates to the selected file path.
  5. Click Import. The configuration is imported as a progress dialog is shown. When the configuration has finished importing, the Success dialog box appears.
  6. Click OK.

If the imported configuration is different from the active configuration, it will need to be deployed as described in Deploying the current views before the changes will be available to users.
