Exporting the presentation schema
Exporting a presentation schema saves the configuration information for a selected repository to an XML file that is contained in a compressed archive file. You specify the location of the file when you export the presentation schema.
Exporting the presentation schema is useful for several reasons:
- As a record of the system's configuration at a point in time, such as before making major changes.
- As a backup of the configuration in case of disaster.
- To copy to another Meridian Explorer server for import.
To export the presentation schema:
- In the BlueCielo Application Manager configuration tree, select Repositories\<Repository>\Presentation Schema. The repository’s presentation schema status appears in the right pane.
- Click Export in the toolbar of the right pane and select Export. The Export Tool appears. The name of the repository for which its presentation schema will be exported appears in the left pane. The destination of the export file is shown in the right pane.
- To change the location or name of the export file, click the browse button
. The Save As dialog appears.
- Select the destination folder, modify the file name, if necessary, and click Save to close the dialog.
- Click Export. The export file is created in the specified location.
