Deploying the current views

When you change the Meridian Explorer views configuration, you must deploy it to the website before your changes are reflected by the website. After you configure a repository view, the changes you make are saved to a temporary location. They will not affect the site until they are explicitly deployed.

Before you begin

The Meridian Enterprise Server Configurator continuously validates a view while you configure it to ensure that the options that you have chosen can be deployed to the website. For example, if you enable the advanced search option for a view but have not specified properties, an INVALID CONFIGURATION dialog box will appear. You must resolve this inconsistency before you can deploy the view.

To deploy the active views:

1. In Meridian Enterprise Server Configurator, in the Repositories group, click Views. The Explorer Views page appears and lists the existing views.
2. In the app bar, click DEPLOY. A confirmation dialog box appears.
3. Click YES to continue to deploy the configuration. A progress dialog box appears until the deployment is complete.
