Installing components on client computers

The only software required on client computers for Meridian Explorer is the Meridian Explorer Meridian Web Client (formerly named Netviewer), which is required for viewing documents on the client computers. The component is also responsible for downloading batches of documents. The most recent version of the Meridian Web Client can be downloaded from the BlueCielo ECM Solutions website. Run the Meridian Web Client setup program on each Meridian Explorer client computer.

Note    When the Meridian Web Client is not installed on a client computer, Meridian Explorer will not display a document viewer pane, but instead display a link to the Meridian Web Client download location. This URL can be changed to a location on your organization’s intranet by editing the BlueCieloViewerDownloadUrl setting in the web application's web.config file similar to what is described in Configuring default user preferences.
