Deploying the current views

After you configure a repository views, the changes you make are saved to a temporary location. They will not affect the site until they are explicitly deployed.

Before you begin

The Explorer Configurator continuously validates a view while you configure it to ensure that the options that you have chosen can be deployed to the website. For example, if you enable the Navigation Views option for a repository view but no navigation views yet exist, the message Please select a valid default navigation layout for the '<RepositoryView>' view will appear in red text at the top of the right pane. You must resolve this inconsistency before you can deploy the view. After you create a navigation view and make it the default navigation view for the repository view, the message The layout is valid will appear in blue text at the top of the right pane, and only then may you deploy the repository view.

To deploy the active views:

  1. In the Meridian Explorer Configurator, click Manage. The configuration command buttons appear in the right pane.
  2. In the Deployment group, click Deploy. A Warning dialog box appears.
  3. Click Yes to continue to deploy the current configuration. A progress dialog box appears until the deployment is complete.
