About property indexes

By default, Meridian Explorer automatically maintains indexes for the system properties that are necessary for basic operation and no administration is necessary. However, in rare cases it may be necessary to disable Explorer's automatic indexing and instead maintain the indexes manually.

Meridian Explorer uses the following types of indexes:

• Property value indexes for general searches
• Lookup indexes for property value lists, navigation views, and property navigation.
• Full-text indexes of document content
