Installing components on client computers
Depending on the deployment of Meridian Explorer, the BlueCielo Meridian Web Client might be required on the client computers for viewing documents in Meridian Explorer. It is also responsible for downloading batches of documents, referenced documents, hybrid parts, and redlines. The most recent version of the Meridian Web Client can be downloaded from the BlueCielo ECM Solutions website. Run the Meridian Web Client setup program on each Meridian Explorer client computer.
Note When the Meridian Web Client is not installed on a client computer, Meridian Explorer will not display a document viewer pane, but instead display a link to the Meridian Web Client download location. This URL can be changed to a location on your organization’s intranet by editing the BlueCieloViewerDownloadUrl setting as described in Configuring the viewer options.
If users will not need the download features listed above but only need to view documents, an alternative to installing the Meridian Web Client is to install AutoVue Client/Server as described in About AutoVue and to configure Meridian Explorer to use that viewer as described in Configuring the viewer options.
