BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Server 2018 Administrator's Guide
Upgrading a repository
After you install a Meridian Enterprise Server upgrade, if a repository or its views are not available, you might need to manually upgrade the repository before it is available in Meridian Explorer. If you have not yet created repositories, proceed instead to create one as described in Creating a Meridian Explorer repository.
Before you begin Confirm that a current verified backup of the repository database exists.
Note To upgrade an existing repository to use the Microsoft SQL Server FILESTREAM option that was not enabled when the repository was created, contact BlueCielo Technical Support for an upgrade procedure.
To upgrade a repository:
- Confirm that a verified backup of the repository exists.
- In Meridian Enterprise Server Administration Console, in the Repositories group, click Repositories . The All Repositories page appears and lists the existing Meridian Explorer repositories and Meridian Enterprise vaults.
- Select the repository that you want to upgrade and then in the toolbar click Upgrade. A background task is started and you can continue working. When the upgrade is finished, the result is shown in the COMPATIBILITY column of the repository list.
- Redeploy the view configuration as described in Deploying the current views.
