Upgrading from previous versions of BlueCielo Publisher or Meridian Explorer

Meridian Enterprise Server 2014 or later can be upgraded in-place with the installation package. For existing installations prior to Meridian Enterprise Server 2014, see the not in Installing Meridian Enterprise Server.

Upgrading from previous versions (before 2013) of BlueCielo Publisher or Meridian Explorer comprises the phases that are performed in the following order:

  1. If an existing Meridian Enterprise installation (before 2013 SP2) is one of the source systems, manually upgrade the Publisher extensions in the existing environment. The procedure for doing this is different depending on the Meridian Enterprise version. The following topics describe the procedures for the supported versions.
  2. Import the existing BlueCielo Publisher and Meridian Explorer configuration settings into a new Meridian Enterprise Server configuration database as described in Upgrading a configuration database.
  3. If Meridian Enterprise is one of the source systems, review and update if necessary, the Meridian Enterprise configuration as described in the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Administrator's Guide.
