About AutoVue Client/Server

Meridian Enterprise Server supports AutoVue Client/Server for viewing 2D and 3D format documents. AutoVue Client/Server is a Java applet that displays documents that are rendered by an AutoVue server. The basic architecture of AutoVue Client/Server when integrated with Meridian Enterprise Server is shown in the following figure.

The Java server and the AutoVue server software can be installed on separate servers if many client computers require the service. This architecture is best suited for the department and enterprise deployment models described in the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Administratorʹs Guide.

The AutoVue Client/Server software may be installed on the following computers depending on the expected viewing workload:

• The Meridian Enterprise application server together with Web Access (minimal workload)
• A separate Meridian Enterprise Web Access or Meridian Enterprise Server web server (moderate workload)
• Separate Java application server and web server (heavy workload)
