BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Server 2013 Administrator's Guide | BlueCielo ECM Solutions |
Basic rendering options can be set for every publishing job. They can be used to control the appearance of the published rendition. Using document properties to provide the rendering options can be configured as described in Configuring rendering option properties.
To configure the rendering options:
On the menu, click RENDERING. The Rendering page appears and lists the existing rendering profiles. The profiles that have been assigned to the job are selected.
Select or deselect the checkbox next to the profile name, accordingly. Do not select a rendering profile unless the rendering module used by that profile is installed on the computer where the rendering will occur.
Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
Note Some of the options in the following table are only available for specific source or destination system types.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Use existing rendition |
If enabled, prevents unnecessary re-rendering of vault documents. The existing rendition will be published instead if it is up to date. |
Include redlines in rendition |
If enabled, source document redlines are published to the destination system. |
Publish unrendered |
If enabled, publishes the source document in its native format if the document's file extension has not been configured in the rendering options of any rendering profile.
|
Use the next rendering profile if rendering fails |
If enabled, allows failover rendering by a different rendering profile if a document cannot be rendered by the desired profile due to unavoidable errors. For example, if a drawing fails to render using the AutoCAD rendering module and the number of retries has been exceeded, the job can be retried using a profile with the AutoVue rendering module. To set the order in which rendering profiles will be attempted, see the preceding step. Note If rendering fails with any module and the next module is tried, the text _RETRYRENDER_<ModuleName>_ will be passed in the publishOptions arguments described in PublisherSourceEvent_AfterPublish event and PublisherDestinationEvent_AfterPublish event. |
