Sending status notifications

The SMTP page contains options that can be used to automatically send import status notifications to the senders of skipped or failed message imports.

To specify the status notification options:

  1. Start BCEmailManagerConfigurator.exe. By default, the file is located in the folder C:\Program Files\BC-Meridian\BlueCielo Email Manager.
  2. Select an existing configuration file to edit and click Open or click Create new to create a new configuration file. The BlueCielo Email Manager Configuration window opens.
  3. Click the SMTP tab. The SMTP options page appears.
  4. Select options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
SMTP options
Option Description

SMTP server

Type the SMTP server name for sending import status notification messages.

SMTP port

Type the TCP/IP port number used by the SMTP server.

Requires encrypted connection (SSL)

Enable if the SMTP server uses SSL.

Email address

Type the mailbox folder to store outgoing import status notification messages.

Display name

Type the name to appear as the sender of import status notification messages.

Account name

Type the account name to use to send import status notification messages.

Password

Type the password of the account used to send import status notification messages.

  1. Click OK to save your changes.
